Siding going on the cabin this week!
OK...they haven't quit, but they ALL knocked off at noon. Salt and the boys were chain sawing, chipping and loading brush for 4 hours yesterday morning. I still don't understand how one can live so far North that when you jump off the dock you are in Canada and still have a heat index of 105??? I finally told them to jump in the river, put on some clean clothes and I would take them all (by boat) to the Riverside Cafe for lunch. The ride was refreshing and there was a great breeze coming across the deck of the cafe.
We all ended up coming home and taking naps in front of the fans. I called our neighbors who have air conditioning and told them I would send over my huge pack of spare ribs and a couple of salads if they would do the cooking tonight. I am working a 12 hour shift and there is no way I want to deal with thoughts of what's for dinner??
