Goodbye Ruby Tuesday....who could hang a name on you

Tuesday being "Sr day" at the movie theater, we took off with the Muldoons for a show and dinner. Sue and I wanted to see Black Swan and the boys went to something else. I loved Natalie Portman in her role....she certainly deserved the Academy nomination she just picked up. The movie is definitely on the dark side and rather risque, but I really enjoyed it.

After the movie we took off in the Tornado Warnings (wicked winds and rain) and stopped at Ruby Tuesday's (or Roasted Thursday's as Emma calls it) for dinner. I had a coupon for a buy one get one free entree so for $12.99 Salt and I both enjoyed great entrees. I am such a coupon fanatic anymore, I am sure my dad is up above chuckling as he remembers all the times I picked on him about his Sr. discounts and coupon sales.

Terry brought these mushrooms the other night when he, Susie, Gene and Ruth came to dinner before Las Vegas night. He found a "mushroom farm" out near one of the golf courses he plays on. They were HUGE, fresh and delicious....and CHEAP. Salt and I will definitely be checking it out when we return from the cruise.

My calla lilies in the office.....

Emma got her braces on today. Her mother was concerned she would have a lot of pain so asked her if she wanted some Tylenol....Emma replied, no nothing for the pain she was just worried what she could take for lunch tomorrow....Oh yeah, she's a Paxton!!!

We did the Farmer's/Flea Market in Eustis this morning, I went and had my hair styled and then we did dinner at Chili's... We will be doing the Grand Funk Railroad concert at Silver Springs on Saturday, packing Sunday, and Monday we are off to cruise to the Bahamas.

Yesterday the moon was blue...And every crazy day brought something new to do.....

Early in the season, Salt and I purchased season tickets to Silver Springs. We have been waiting for the concerts to start and attended our first one on Saturday. It was Roy Clark (Heee Hawww). The guy can still pick and grin....some very good music!

We are so pleased with the opportunities we have for seeing so many good concerts in this area.

We got there early, so we could set up our chairs (it was an outside concert). Since we had not seen all of the park, we did some more exploring. We got to see some of the critters...Emma is going to love this park!

I loved the beard on this "Billy Goat"!

An Emu.....

Llama....

A baby Brahma....

Miniature horses....

This bear was a hoot.....he would throw this stone in the air and try to catch it....never did! Then he sat back and took a bath....using his paws to wash himself.

This turkey looked as though she was dressed for the red carpet. The feathers were pure white and trimmed in black.....it actually looked like lace.

This is the concert schedule. We are hoping to attend most of them.

Driving home, Salt slammed on his brakes and started backing up. Here was this wild bear, just cruising the side of the road. I'm not sure if that his beer bottle or not?????

Seems that everywhere I turn, I'm just a step behind...I'm going nowhere slow and I think I'm losing my mind....

After moving, papering, painting, tiling and landscaping, I think we just may find some time to start playing and blogging again. Oh yeah, I forgot about 3 weeks of suffering through bronchitis.

So....this will the big catch-up on the blog and hopefully, I will be back on track for awhile.

Here are some views of parts of our house. I am definitely going to get a wide angle lens for Salt's new Cannon, so I don't have to keep piecing pictures together......

This is the Master Bedroom.....minus two huge dressers.

This is my office/den and the spare bedroom. We purchased a new sleeper sofa (with a REAL mattress), so we didn't have to use the room only as a spare bedroom. This is the room we papered.

Kitchen

Dining room.....

Living room

Lanai, was unfinished. Salt painted and tiled it. He has never tiled before and did an amazing job!
Wow...I guess I am behind. This is a picture of New Year's celebration at the Starcher's new residence.

Two tables of delicious food.....

Christmas dinner at Doug and Darlene Rowes. We are so blessed with so many good friends down here!!
Wally and Linda Medley...our first dinner guests. We have actually had 3 more dinner parties since. We are loving having room to entertain again!
One of the highlights of the Christmas season was attending the Warren Acting Companies production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat. Terry and Sue's grandchildren, once again did a terrific job.
Little Lanie....she is really getting into this "acting" career! She is just so darn cute!!!

Here is Emma (on the right) performing in church with Grace Wainwright. My little "devil" can really be an angel when she trys. Sometimes I think she is my heartbeat!

Even though we moved into the house just a week before Christmas, I did at least get a tree up. Not as large as usual but it was real!!
Next year will be our BIG Christmas, both of the kids and Emma will be here for the holidays. I am already excited about it!!

Well, there are a gazillion other things we did over the last month, but I'm afraid I didn't take as good notes as I do when I am blogging daily. We have started getting involved here at the new neighborhood. We attended a dance at the clubhouse with a good jazz/blues band and also a concert "A Night in Vegas" with Bob Anderson.

I am hoping now that the cold spell is ending to get around the grounds and get some pictures of the club, pools, lake, and outside of the house.
