There'll be guitars and fiddles and banjo pickin too...

Saturday night we headed out to the Florida Sunshine Opry to see Johnny Counterfit. What a great show. He does imitations....his most famous Johnny Cash, but he did Frank Sinatra, different presidents, Elvis, Jack Benny, Groucho Marx and tons of other ones. Not only could he duplicate their voices, he had all the facial expressions as well.
The pre-show by the Opry band is always a treat too.....

A secret to this...I tell you the truth...Maybe this is the fountain of youth...

Once again the gang got together for a trip to the "Fountain of Youth" aka De Leon State Park and breakfast at the old mill. Here the girls dunk a foot in the spring...

Cooking pancakes.....

Susie can't quite figure out why she has to do her own cooking when she "goes to a restaurant"...

The story....

Menu.....
Gene went to the car for the binoculars and came back with 3 pair looking like a "tourist"....
The fisherman on the bank catching Talapia....

There were several alligators along the banks (on the boat tour). This Tripod, a 12 foot feller with only 3 legs. Evidently he was hit by a prop.

These ducks were quickly gathering in a group. The tour guide told us they pack so tightly that you can't get a piece of paper between them. This is how they protect themselves from approaching danger ....Eagles, etc.

The tour boat......

We never get tired of the Florida wildlife....here is a majestic Blue Heron....
Did a little shopping at Bells later. They have these fabulous 80% or better off sales so I always look forward to picking up unusual things for Emma. This sweatshirt was over $40....it has built in headphones and a plug in the pocket for an IPOD. It ended up being around $4.00 after all the discounts.
And I knew she would love this shirt to put up for next year....LOL I'm sure my kids would like one too but they didn't have them in their sizes.....

If I had a hammer....I'd hammer in the morning....

When Salt started the lanai, I didn't take any "before" pictures so I am definitely going to keep track of the laundry/storage area. Here he is tearing down the temporary plywood the previous owners put up. The wall to the right will be pegboard and shelves.

This is the yucky floor. Previous owners had indoor/outdoor carpet which I hate. I needed something I can deep clean. Salt is going to use that new garage floor sealant with the specs in it.

Goodness Gracious "Great Balls of Fire".....

This guy is CRAZY...Crazy, Fabulous!!

Last night we saw one of the BEST shows we have seen in a long time....and as you all know, we see a LOT of shows. It was Jason D. Williams, proclaimed by some to be the best pianist in present times. Or as he says, the question still asked..."Is Jerry Lee Lewis my illegitimate daddy". I could go on and on, but I will simply close with...if you ever get a chance to see this guy and you like rock and roll.... seize the opportunity!

Nassau Rock and Nassau Roll...Nassau's got a lot of soul....

January 31, we headed out for Canaveral and the boarding of the Monarch of the Seas. It was a 4 day cruise to Nassau and Cocoa Cay. As always, we ate too much and probably had way too much fun!!

This is the first time we sailed with Royal Caribbean, we tend to favor Carnival....we didn't really have any major complaints but still like Carnival a little better.

One of our waiters having fun during a show.....

This comedian was definitely one of the best we have seen. He was SO funny and yet used no profanity ....well maybe he said the "F" word ONCE.

Here are some of the boys at Cocoa Cay....Every time I see Salt and Gene standing side by side I can't help but chuckle as they remind me of the movie "twins"...Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito.

I want one of these wheelchairs so when I can't walk to the waves anymore, Salt can wheel me to my surfboard!!!

The beautiful blue of the Caribbean.....

Our ship as we returned from Cocoa Cay....

This was so crazy.....These are friends (Walt and Cathy Perry) from Clayton. We were riding the elevator on the ship and the door opened and there stood Walt and Cathy. Small world.

Jim and Carol Hart.....

Gene and Ruth Starcher.....

NO....I was not drunk...just a bad picture. Well, maybe too much sun, food and not enough sleep?????

Always look forward to see what animal will await our return to the cabin. On one of these cruises, I am actually going to go to one of the classes where they make these.

On our tour of Nassau, we went to a couple of the old forts......

And of course, the homeless dogs that wander all through the Bahamas.....

A little Calypso music....

And .....where one must go after a cruise. This is a part of our new gym at the club.

And here is Salt working off SEVERAL desserts!!

Come on baby...do the "Locomotion" with me....

Raining, so it's a good day to once again catch up on some blogging. We have been extremely busy the last couple of weeks. We attended the Grand Funk Railroad concert at Silver Springs 2 weeks ago. They had the crowds just a rocking.....

We finally got some warm weather and spent some time at one of the pools. There are two pools within the park, one always at 86 degrees which makes for year round swimming and another one that is not heated, which is more refreshing on a HOT day.

Whoops, there's Salt.....
