Last May, we got a terrific deal on a cruise to some of the islands (Saints) that we had not visited, so we decided to try our luck with a European ship....the MSC Poesia. Let's just say it was an experience and we will not be cruising that line again. We did manage however, to have a wonderful time despite the rude French Canadians and the fact that they repeated everything in 5 different languages at all the shows....urgh.
My crazy husband pretending to dock the boat.....
Here we are at our Muster station, getting instructions on what to do during an emergency....something the Concordia SHOULD have done!
Although it wasn't one of our favorite cruises, the ship itself was magnificent. This the pool area (two pools).
Daniel and Sophie....the two children who were at our dinner table each night. The best entertainment on the cruise.
The food, although not the best, was pretty good.
This was the Zebra Lounge.....which was VERY busy (decor) and was a hoot to walk through when the seas were rough.
I'm always amazed at how quickly these young men can whip out one of these ice carvings!
Beautiful music in the pit with the floating piano........
I never get tired of the carvings from the fruits and vegetables for the midnight buffets...(none of which we ever made as we were never hungry after dinner).
This was my favorite....all made from vegetables.
Watermelon bird.....
And of course everyone loves to come into the room and find a "towel animal".,,,,
