Toes in the water....ass in the sand

Yep....and now the fun begins....white sand and beaches!!!

Our first stop was Cozumel, Salt, myself, Terry and Susie decided to take the offshore trip to one of the beaches and just chill for the day. Since the Florida weather has been so cold the last couple of weeks, a beach day was long overdue.

some of the shops....

and of course, always the musicians with their buckets out.....

This is a little out of sequence, but this was one of the acts the break dancers pulled on the audience.....notice there is no support under these guys!!

The entertainment was so good this cruise. Unfortunately, they do not allow any photography in the theaters...:(

Our second port was Roatan.....

Some natives putting on a thatched roof....... back in Cozumel.....loving the sun, sand and hammock......

me....being silly!!
This is my next job.....This bathroom attendant was sleeping on the job when we arrived, still sleeping at lunchtime.....

I love reggae music on the beach!!!!

These fresh flowers were all over......

Salt thoroughly enjoying the warmth......

Terry getting ready for his first snorkel of the day......

This was a very unique shower......

back at the ship, the waiters are dancing on the tables.......

Our wild waiter....also did tricks at the table.......

One of the delicious diet desserts......pumpkin pie!!

Loved the hot tubs that are right off the deck. This picture was taken from our balcony (where I spent a lot of time sipping coffee and reading as the ship cruised......

There is much poverty in both Belize and and Roatan....the people however are very friendly and always seem happy.
We took the "Sights and Sounds of Belize" tour and went through this museum.....

A block of gum.....

Simulation of how they remove the gum sap from the trees.....

This entrance is made from a Mahogany tree. Supposedly, if you walk under a Mahogany tree, it will bring you good luck. We did find however that isn't true, since we had NO luck at the casino that evening!!!!!

I am not sure exactly what this guy was supposed to be but he sure was comical, and making lots of money letting people have their picture taken with him.

When we were checking out the straw markets in Belize, we ran into this guy who had a machete and was carving out coconuts and selling the juice in the shell. Most people were of course adding rum. Salt, Carolyn and I all had one with just a little lime. It was actually quite good, and supposedly very good for flushing the kidneys.....
and last, but not least....our farewell animal.....
