Miami, Miami...you got style...Blue skys, sunshine, white sand by the mile....

We left for Key West early Wednesday morning. Our first stop was Miami for a river cruise and dinner. This is the Miami Lady which we boarded for a tour past the skyline and around Star Island.

Here is part of the crew....goofing off, as usual. The couple behind Ruth and Salt are Leroy and Cathy....Karen Hillis' sister and brother-in-law. They have been visiting for a week and will become residents of the resort next year.

This was the view of the skyline as we pulled away from the dock.

The shipping port....zillions of cargo crates!!

As we cruised around Star Island, we saw one house after another, each of which cost millions of dollars and were now owned or once owned by the rich and famous. This first one is the mansion where the movie Scarface was filmed

The home to the left is Gloria Estafan's. The small white building next to it is her multimillion
dollar recording studio.

If you would prefer to build your own house, you can buy this empty lot for a mere 6.8 million.

This is a small guest house which sits in front of the mansion once owned by the notorious gangster Al Capone. He died here in 1947 at the age of 47.

These are the Royal Palms that stand on the property owned by Dr. Frost. Each one costs $10,000.00 and there are 31 of them....do the math. But as soon as we learned just who Dr. Frost is we all understood. He is the man who invented the little purple pill....Viagra. He sold it to Pfizer's for 13.2 Billion...

I could go on and on with the stars that have homes there....Rosie O'Donnel, Shaquille O'Neal, Elizabeth Taylor, Julio Igleiasus and on and on.

After we left the boat, we walked through the shops and watched some of the local talent (?) .

A stop at Bubba Gump's and back on the bus heading to our motel in Homestead, FL.
