I would even go wherever the wind blows me......

Monday morning at 7:00 am we left for Amelia Island and a couple of days of great ocean fun! Of course, we did check the forecast for Ida before we left. We knew we wouldn't be killed, but also knew we were going to have some high winds and big waves. The temperatures, however were perfect for sightseeing.

The winds in the harbor were not too bad yet....


We checked into the Seaside Amelia Inn Suites (right on the ocean). By time we decided to take a walk on the beach, you can see (by the hair and surf) the winds were picking up. The forecast was 70% chance of rain, but we lucked out and didn't get any until we were at Okefenokee!!

Our first meal was at the Marina Seafood Restaurant, which was the first 5 star restaurant in Northeast Florida. Good food!
