In heaven there is no beer....that's why we drink it here...

What a day it was yesterday....First of all perfect weather and then a fun packed diversified play day. We started out at the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market. This place is huge, and although it was Salt's and my first time here, I believe now my favorite.

After the market, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for a light lunch (they have an excellent Harvest Salad).

While we were eating we kept hearing cars going around the track at the Daytona raceway. Curiosity got the best of us so we drove in to see what was going on. They were racing sports cars, Jags, Corvettes, porches and more. Since it was not an official race, they let us go into the grandstands and watch. It was cool to see the track and racing in person....so much different than on the TV.
On the way out I couldn't resist putting my foot in Jeff Gordon's footprint!

And Salt couldn't resist a picture with this Jag!

After we left the speedway we headed for the beach and a very long walk.

This is making me really excited for all of our "Ocean" trips coming up. Tomorrow we are headed for Amelia Island, the 28th of this month to South Padre Island, Texas and then in January a 7 day cruise!

We returned home, about 30 minutes before Oktoberfest was about to start. A quick change and we were on our way out the door again to party with the Germans!! Terry and Susie Muldoon and Ruth and Gene Starcher pictured below.

And here I am with one of my favorite dancers!

You just aren't going to get a picture of this woman with her head up. She plays amazing tunes on these bells!
The kids are growing up so fast.....
This guy just can't stay still when there is German music. Quite a comedian also!

One of the guys staying at the resort joined the band with his banjo. He was so good, they asked him to join them on another gig!

I love it when people have a job they enjoy so much....it makes for a lot of smiles!

Oh yep....more volunteers (?). The gentleman on the left is Carl, the owner of our park and generous provider of the party. 5 kegs of beer, pretzels, hot dogs and brats with sauerkraut. He was sure a good sport on joining in and letting the band try and make a fool of him. I think he kind of surprised them when he started dancing around, doing a pretty good job. The fella (Earl) to the left of him won the contest. None of us were surprised since he is a tremendous dancer.

Some of our "new" friends.... Wally and his wife Susan work (and live) here at the park.
A fun addition to the ranks!
The start of the Conga line.....

Fun filled evening....I danced my heart out and had a wonderful time laughing and catching up with our friends who are just returning.

This morning I attended a very nice church service here on the grounds. It was dedicated to honoring all the servicemen, and thus, was filled with patriotic songs and pride!!
