In my quest to keep my glass half-full through this rainy, cold summer, I am finding that there is in fact beauty even in a stormy sky. As we were coming over the hill the other night this was the picture over the river. The clouds as dark and as threatening as they were had a certain beauty in the way they were outlined in what appeared to be a neon shadow!!
The kids are managing to pop in the water and on the tube in between rain drops....
Here they are starting out....right before "Pop" gave them the ride of their lives! I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the squeals of delight!!
Em and Rachael decided they wanted to sleep on the screened porch in a thunderstorm....I had them tucked in but about 1:00am Em was in our bedroom with eyes as big as saucers. She exclaimed that the coyotes were right outside the door...(they had all the shoes and coat tree lined up against the screen door). Emma knew they were after them because they "like meat and our bodies are made out of meat!!!!"
This where I found them in the morning.......
A favorite sport....riding on the jet ski with pop!!
