Feliz Navidad....We want to wish you a Merry Christmas....

Everywhere you look in this city, there is music....here a bunch of kids gather on the corner to practice their Christmas rap....

We were able to hop an early boat, and get our narrated tour of the river and the river walk.

This is "Danny" our guide.....

This is an amazing mural with over 400,000 tiles....

As we drove by the open air theater, we were entertained by a Jewish group celebrating the 8th day of Hanuka.

This beautiful orchid tree blooms 365 days of the year......

Beautiful waterfalls.....The lights at night are beautiful, but you miss all the beautiful landscaping if you don't also make a daytime trip.

This is inside the Hyatt Hotel.......After several unique waterfalls throughout the lobby, the river actually flows right through and on into the river walk.

We visited several of the shops along the walk. This was a hand blown chandelier, being used as a Christmas tree.....

The shop is stocked with the most unique blown glass items....definitely a place you would want to take tired kids.....

I always enjoy watching the horses and buggies in different cities. They were so pretty here, as they were all decked out for the holidays.....

Entering the shopping mall via boat on the river....

This was a very interesting gemstone that I am not familiar with. It is actual lava rock and is only found in the Dominican Republic.

This was one of my favorite hotel decorations. It is the whole back wall of the Hilton....Unfortunately I kept getting reflections from the other lights, while trying to photograph it. It is so cool when you are looking at it from the street. All of the background lights are red and the tree, of course green. The neat thing is they are all lights strategically placed in the light sockets on the balconies of the individual rooms.
