The stars at night are big and bright....Deep in the heart of Texas...

We made it to Texas early last evening. After our busy day of sightseeing, and a long drive (ride), we had dinner and turned in for an early evening. After breakfast this morning, we headed to Corpus Christi, where we will spend the evening before moving on tomorrow to South Padre Island, where we will spend the next week.

The boys wanted to stop and tour the USS Lexington www.usslexington . Ruth and I opted for a small shopping trip so the camera went on board with Salt.

Me having a REALLY bad hair day. It's very cold and windy here and they are predicting SNOW within the next 24 hours and temps in the 20's. Unheard of for this area.....I am very glad we are heading further south tomorrow.

I am quite sure Salt's Captains' license would not allow him to pilot this girl!! He looks like he knows what he is doing.....NOT
And Gene......

Now that's a LOT of knots......

It's amazing what you will find on board these carriers....

A dental office.....
A chapel......
