There have been many a trip in this big old ship....

We had a heavy fog all day today....commencing with a rainstorm. The boys wanted to stop at the USS Texas....the pictures in the fog weren't that good, but we did manage a few.

I once again gave Salt the camera.....

Of course he couldn't resist this picture.....Who was the poor girl who posed for this???

The bunks all decorated for Christmas.....you can actually arrange to camp out on the ship. Ruth and I had visions of the boys wanting to sign up for an adventure such as this....

Although the quarters were pretty sparse for the sailors, the Captains quarters were quite well stocked with "niceties".....including silver.

Dinner for the big guys....
cannons in the fog....
Salt took this from the bridge....gives one a little better idea as to the size of the ship....

Salt was pretty surprised at how simple the pilot house was....especially compared to the technology we have on the battleships today.......
I had to get a picture of these palm trees....I thought I had at some point seen most kinds of palm trees in this US. These were unique because of the "hair" growing on the trunks in the shape of garland.... Will have to look them up when I get back to FL....
